The new Överum plough range is called Xcelsior EX. It is a heavy-duty fully mounted reversible plough with 4, 5 or 6 furrows designed for tractors up to 300 hp. The Xcelsior EX models are fitted either with Överum’s well-known hydraulic stone release system, or with shear bolt protection. The furrow width can be adjusted manually in 5 steps between 35 and 55 cm. An alignment cylinder, straightening out the plough before reversing, is standard equipment.
With a heavy-duty 180 mm turnover shaft running on special roller bearings the plough can be turned over in a stable and controlled manner. The quick hitch cross shaft can be either Cat. 3 or 4, and can be mounted in two height positions, making it suitable for all tractor types.
The large rear-mounted combi-wheel is easily adjusted to give a uniform ploughing depth, as well as safe and easy road transport.
During turnover the Överum Xcelsior EX automatically straightens out, so that the centre of gravity is aligned behind the tractor. After reversing it automatically reverts to the previous working position. This system prevents unnecessary loads on the tractor.
Correct alignment of the Överum Xcelsior EX is achieved through manual adjustment, which
means reduced fuel consumption. By keeping the check chains and top link loose the plough will automatically follow the tractor.
