As a consequence of acquiring the shares in Danagri Deutschland we have sold our holding of shares in Danagri Holding to ABC Hansen in Sønderborg, Denmark. All in all, the share trading is resulting in far more explicit ownership structures in the two involved companies.
Kongskilde increases its interests in the German company being a market leader of precision drills in Germany under the well-known brand Becker. The main reason for this new initiative is the obvious synergy potential on the German market.
– For Kongskilde it is evident to focus on the German market for agricultural machinery. A couple of years ago we experienced a ‘turn around’ period admitting new openings for optimizing the sales channels. Danagri Deutschland is a well-established company, which for some years successfully has made a great effort to increase the sales of Kongskilde products. Lately we have seen an increasing demand for Överum ploughs, says Managing Director of DLG and Chairman of Kongskilde, Asbjørn Børsting.
– Based on the above we see an interesting and attractive development in front of us. Danagri Deutschland will act as the necessary and even stronger link to Germany allowing us to increase the sales of the remaining Kongskilde product programme on the German market. We expect to double the sales of implements on the German market within two years, Asbjørn Børsting adds.
Danagri Deutschland is located in Oberweser near Kassel and is selling all over Germany. The company has its own sales team and in addition five sales agencies. The number of employees is 35, all contributing to the development of the well-known pneumatic precision drill Aeromat as well as the company’s financial result. In 2008 Danagri had a turnover of approx. DKK 50 mill.
