The new OKX 160 bends are primarily used for pneumatic conveying of crops and are designed to meet the always rising demands for a high conveying capacity and a longer lifetime. Often the bends are mounted in difficult places inside the conveying system, making it difficult to replace the bends. Kongskilde has achieved a longer lifetime on bends by using modern hardening technologies and by demanding a higher quality on hardened steel.
A Revolution
Kongskilde considers the new range of pipe bends to represent quite a revolution within the field. The lifetime is tripled compared to traditional bends by using a production technology based on the heat treatment processes used during Kongskilde’s production of harrow tines and the steel hardening processes.
Kongskilde’s range of OK 160 pipe bends is characterised as being a simple and movable pipe system easy to mount in order to meet the actual demand from the customers. At the same time the system is flexible and able to fit in everywhere. The result is a shortened conveying distance, which often means a faster and cheaper conveying.

Part of the explanation can be found in the use of the technology from our produkction of harrow tines. In addition to this, Kongskilde is demanding a higher quality of the hardened steel than ever.
