Agricultural machinery had been produced in the town of Kutno for over 100 years. The factory that produced it, named “Agromet - Kraj Kutno,” was unable to survive the hardships that came with Poland’s political transformation, and in the beginning of the 1990s, it was liquidated. The staff members, however, did not give up on this company, and their skills attracted the attention of the Danish company Cormall Agro Holding A/S, another manufacturer of agricultural machinery. In 1992, the company again appeared on the market, this time as Danagri-pol, a company funded by Danish and Polish capital. In 1997, Danagri-pol merged with another Danish holding company, Kongskilde Industries A/S; upon commencing joint operations, Danagri-pol changed its name to Kongskilde Polska and started its business activities in a 3,000-m2
production hall, on a 1.5-ha site.
Since its inception, Kongskilde Polska has made a number of investments, with the aim of developing its business further. In 1999, the production hall was expanded, and the Metal Forming Department of Kongskilde Maskinfabrik A/S was transferred to Poland, along with the production of AEROMAT precision seeders from the BECKER company. In 2001, Kongskilde Polska acquired an adjoining parcel of land just over 7.5 ha in size, located in the immediate vicinity of the company. The next stage of investments, completed in 2002, involved further expansion of the production hall, increasing its area to 13,000 m2; the purchase of two painting lines (auto and manual) for powder-coating; and the purchase of a line for the abrasive blasting of surfaces prior to painting. In 2003, the company took over the production of stubble cultivators and disc and rotary harrows from Germany (the HOWARD brand), as well as that of compact harrows and seeders from Denmark (the NORDSTEN brand). In the same year, the production of Vibro Till universal cultivators was moved to Poland from Canada. Finally, in 2006, Kongskilde Polska took over production of HOWARD-brand rotary harrows from Spain.
In 2008, Kongskilde Polska came into full compliance with the Integrated Management System ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Today, Kongskilde Polska Sp. z o.o. is one of four manufacturing companies that belong to the Kongskilde Industry Group A/S. It employs 300 people.
